Solidworks Largest User Group Meeting Ever (SLUGME)

Last night we co-sponsored the 2nd annual SolidWorks Largest User Group Ever, other-wise known as SLUGME. And it was a hit!

Our local SolidWorks User Groups – Boston Area’s Dan Herzburg, Central MA’s Tom Cote, New Hampshire’s Cindy Berend and Vermont’s Craig Lalumiere organized the meeting at SolidWorks Corporate HQ here in nearby Waltham, MA.

From SolidWorks “mother ship”, we connected with over 60 SolidWorks User Groups who were linked into a simulcast webinar. SolidWorks Users from as far away as Africa and Australia were first greeted with a welcome message from a SolidWorks CEO Gian Paolo Bassi, followed by a highly-acclaimed Tips and Trick Presentation by Todd Blacksher of the Nebraska User Group.

Todd’s SolidWorks version of the Jeopardy gameshow was engaging for all user levels, and educational for even the most advanced. Categories included “I never metadata I didn’t like”, “Draw me a bath”, “Highway to the Shortcut Danger Zone” and “Totally Tubular”.

Congratulations to the winner of our national raffle prize which went to an attendee from the North Alabama SWUG!
